DELTA DENTAL PATIENTS OF FIRST IMPRESSIONS BY LEROHL & LANDERS
Recently we sent you a letter regarding our contract with Delta Dental. As of January 1, 2023, we will no longer be a Premiere Provider with Delta. This decision did not come easily to us as we have spent the last several months wrestling with how it will affect our patients which we are so grateful for.
We make every effort to use the highest quality dental materials and equipment, and hire the most talented, friendly team members. The plain truth is that as the cost of nearly everything has gone up, Delta reimbursement has not; it has even gone down for some procedures. In order to continue providing the kind of care that has made us First Impressions, we have decided to cut our relationship with Delta rather than cutting corners.
Our relationship with you is very important to us and we hope to continue to see you for your dental care.
Yes, FLEX and HSA funds can be used for dental treatment.
No, we cannot. Unfortunately, Delta does not divulge that information to us. Every plan and its coverage are different. You will find out what is covered only after treatment has been rendered and we have submitted the claim to Delta.
This recently occurred in our office regarding reimbursement amounts:
One of our favorite patients called us to find out what Delta would pay for her treatment. We explained that we don’t have the information because Delta won’t share it with us. Undaunted, she called Delta, HER insurance provider, for the exact reimbursement amount. The Delta Dental representative simply said, “We won’t know until they are out of network.”
We will still file your dental claims with Delta. They will send the reimbursement check directly to you.
You will still be able to use your Delta Dental plan and your benefits in our office. However, we will now require payment at the time of service–this includes routine cleaning appointments as well.
Yes, you absolutely can come to First Impressions for all your dental needs. Delta Dental may send you a letter stating you cannot come here but that is not true.
